Ms Alizée Ville from France

Today we have a seminar, inviting a French student as a special guest speaker.

Speaker: A.Ville (Univ. of Paris I, Sorbonne, student of master course)
Theme: The forest as a climate mitigation tool : negative emissions
- And how can agroforestry help ? -

It was just after a heavy rain disaster in the West part of Japan and the theme is very up to date.

In the seminar we discussed for almost 2 hours, with Prof Nakajima (agriculture economics), Assoc Prof Tatsuhara and Assistant Nakashima (forest management and measurement), the subject "negative emissions" in technological aspect along with economical or political aspect mainly in France and in Aisa.

We could exchange stimulating information and opinions.
It was as hot discussion as weather outside. We have indeed hot summer this year, feeling climate change !

After the seminar, we rinsei-seminar members took pictures altogether.





Ms Ville was going to Yakushima Island by Shinkansen (!) and we continued usual seminar in Japanese.
